When I click on the link for the Flashpoint Streaklight 360Ws TTL, the price is $479.95. Is there a code to make it $xxx.xx or is this a price error?

Flash havoc, which deal would you go for,,,the AD600 or the rapid 600?

      • Author

        Hi Alberto,

The Rapid 600 are designed more as a studio strobe, with mains AC power only, unless you were to add something like the PS-800 power pack for location use.

The advantages of the Rapid 600 otherwise are the faster flash durations for really freezing motion (water splashes etc), and the very fast recycle times. Also finer power adjustment option (1/10th stop) and a real 150W halogen modelling light.

The AD600 are otherwise far more versatile strobes if you want to use them on location etc as well. The remote head makes them very stable, while the fully cordless configuration is very fast when to move around when hand holding. They still have reasonably fast flash durations, ok recycle time, and off course HSS and TTL if you choose.

Personally I like going fully cordless with the AD600 even when AC power is available. The only main thing that lets them down a bit is the modelling light is not good for studio style use like the Rapid 600. Once the modelling lights improve cordless will no doubt take over a lot of the studio light market.

Now, there’s a drone as the Deal of the Day. Is it possible that the Streaklight deal will be another day?

I just went to the Adorama website to check on something else and found that the Streaklight 360 TTL is now priced at $349.95! I bought two.

  7. Jesse Patterson 4 years ago

I was able to purchase a Streaklight 360 TTL for $349.95 as well! I also went ahead and bought 3 Zoom Li-on R2 TTL! Now, I can finally let go of all of my YN560s.

Thanks, yes it looks like the deal is current at the moment (possibly because of my balls up) –

      Streaklight 360 TTL Canon

      Streaklight 360 TTL Nikon

In any case its never been a better time to put a Godox / Flashpoint kit together 🙂

      • Jesse Patterson 4 years ago

No kidding! I never would have considered the Streaklight 360 without this sale!

Now that I have a good amount of Flashpoint gear, what case would anyone recommend for the following:
    2 XPLOR 600
    1 Streaklight 360
    3 Zoom Li-on
    Triggers & Accessories

Hi Jesse, the ultimate option is generally the Pelican cases, and they appear to be on sale at the moment. You would need something fairly large, and I would imagine a roller case, to handle all of that in one case though.

If you like the XPLOR cases that come with the flash though, they are also available separately for $39.95. Another one of those for the Streaklight and Zoom Li-on would be an economical alternative.

Will the XPLOR 600 TTL bundle deal ($849) be available again for Cyber Monday?

      Flash Havoc 4 years ago

Hi Kevin, I’ll see if I can find out whats happening. They may be low on some of the items stock already.

The coupon is working now … I just bought one with the coupon

        Flash Havoc 4 years ago

Thanks yes, I just got confirmation the coupon will run until the 30th of November (2016).

  12. I just missed the sale on the XPLOR 600 TTL by 3 hours! bummer!

I have been eyeing the bundle the last 5 days since it came to my inbox. But without the Flash Havoc extra $150, it was just out of the reach of my budget.

After I noticed that the bundle says that it includes the transmitter, but when you go to check out it does not give you an option to select your camera system, I thought I should come visit the very informative Flash Havoc to see if someone had an answer, and no answer, but a $150 coupon that expired literally 3 hours ago!

I might have to call up Adorama tomorrow and see if I can still get it, and at the same time see if we can clear up the confusion about the transmitter that in theory comes with the bundle. Yet Adorama must just send you a Nikon, Canon or Sony version based on a guess to which you require!

      Hi Nathaniel,

Its certainly worth a try. Keep in mind most of the deals where already extended beyond the original Black Friday and Cyber Monday though.

I’m not sure what happened with the transmitter selection, though it had to have been working previously otherwise we would have heard about it pretty quickly.

Any Adorama Flash Havoc coupon codes this year?

  15. Roger 2 years ago

And here we go again, looking forward to one of the great sales of the year, Black Friday. I hope Adorama will leak some info about this event. I saw their page – and it seems they’re teasing us with something. Looking forward to this sale, though.
