Another significant feature now provided with the Pro transmitter is the new TCM function.

TCM stands for TLL – CONVERT – MANUAL.

This is Godox and Flashpoint’s version of Hybrid or Fusion TTL, where its now possible to take a shot in TTL mode to attain a correct exposure very quickly, and then at the press of a button convert those TTL power levels to display on the transmitter as Manual power levels.

The manual power levels can then be further refined, and provide consistent exposures for further shots in the same set up and environment.

The TCM function can provide a large advantage when operating in a fast paced environment, allowing a base setting to be gained very quickly without manually metering lights. Switching to manual the individual power levels can then be refined as needed, and exposures remain constant for subsequent images.

Other features include a flash Zoom control screen, and a large graphic menu with custom functions –

The Pro transmitter provides similar range and reliability to the original R2 and XT transmitters, and also currently use the same AF assist light, and regular screw locking foot.

A shutter release function is provided, as well as a Type-C USB port for firmware updated, and a 2.5mm sync port.

Flashpoint / Godox – System Overview

Really good news for Pentax users. I see that not all Godox flashes are supported. For example AD360II aren’t. V860 is supported at low speed, but it’s not clear if PTTL is supported or not. Nothing about the V850II (HSS supported?)

    • Mariosch 3 years ago

      The V860 won’t have P-TTL when used with the XPro-P and XTR-16s.
In fact, no V860 version has any TTL regardless of the trigger version when used with the XTR-16s, as the XTR-16(s) are manual only.

Only way to get off-camera TTL with the V860 would be to use it on an X1R receiver, and to my knowledge cross-brand TTL doesn’t work there.

I would expect HSS on the V850 II and TT600 to work, but some versions of the XPro had issues with HSS + XTR-16 (for instance, the XPro-N) and I always suspected those issues might also affect the TT600 / V850 II. Whether the XPro-P will have inherit this HSS problem remains to be seen.

I assume there will need to be firmware updates for all the existing lights that support TTL?

Any idea if there will be Pentax versions of the on camera speedlights?

I know of one 645Z user who will be happy about this 🙂

    • Javier 3 years ago

Yes, we need a V860II-P. The AD200 is listed as supported, so I assume no new firmware is needed.

      • John Wilson 3 years ago

I’m pretty sure that a firmware update was needed to support TTL on Fuji and Micro 4/3rds when these triggers were released.

        • Javier 3 years ago

Yes, you are right. There was a new firmware then. So sure we’ll see new updates soon.

Elvis I want to inform you and others that the Godox.com site is containing a Coinminer script since a long time. That is why I could not browse the Godox site because the protection software did not allow it.

I informed the hoster of the site but is up to Godox to remove the JSCoinminer from their site.

    Detection message:

      Thanks mmmfotografie,

The Godox website was down for a week, a few weeks ago, I think from an issue like this. My malware software is not showing any issue now, so maybe you will need to clear your cache and cookies etc?

      • mmmfotografie 3 years ago

Thank and I have add an exception to protection software on my computer so I can open the site.

I first checked with virustotal dot com to be sure.

Now if they only come out with a xpro for hasselblad h series camera that would be awesome

    • John Wilson 3 years ago

Any of the Xpro triggers will work with Hasselblad H series cameras when in centre pin mode. Does anybody make TTL wireless triggers for H series cameras?

      • Kathy 3 years ago

…uh, the Godx Xpro transmitter doesn’t have a single/centre pin mode. It also doesn’t have tail sync timing adjustment, both features the X1T transmitter does have.

I could not be happier with the Flashpoint Pentax trigger! YAY!

  8. Mark Kitaoka 2 years ago

I recently had a unique situation where my R2 Pentax would not fire my strobes.

  9. Mark Kitaoka 2 years ago

My Pentax trigger recently stopped illuminating the display panel. Has anyone else experienced this?

Curious if Godox/flashpoint triggers for pentax will transmit ttl info for Ricoh (pentax brand) cameras??
