Flashpoint have released new Vertical TTL Hot Shoe adapters, allowing radio transmitters like the new Flashpoint R2 PRO II and Godox Xpro to be mounted vertically, for easy viewing while the camera is mounted on a tripod.
Developed by Adorama, and available exclusively under the Flashpoint brand, the TTL Hot Shoe adapters will provide a vertical interface with transmitters normally angled at 30 degrees from horizontal, like the the new Flashpoint R2 PRO II and Godox Xpro / R2 Pro.
Though other transmitters set at different native viewing angles may also benefit from the additional 60 degrees the Flashpoint TTL Hot Shoe adapters provide.
With transmitters mounted high enough on the adapter so that you won’t bump your forehead against the transmitter regardless of their shape or configuration.
The TTL Hot Shoe adapters provide a full TTL connection, so that the transmitter will function just as though it was mounted directly on the camera hotshoe.
There is currently no additional AF assist light provided with the TTL Hot Shoe adapters at this stage, which means there are no batteries required inside the unit.
