Adorama have released a new range of Glow Grand Parabox Pro snap open softboxes, as well as an optional reverse mount focusing Zoom-In Bounce Rod system.
And the Parabox Pro softboxes are available now from Adorama from $590, with Glow 5 year USA warranty. And Zoom-In Bounce Rod from $350.
The Glow Grand Parabox Pro being Adorama’s version of the impressive SMDV Speedbox Mega, and Zoom Bounce System.
The Grand Parabox Pro softboxes are currently available in 35″, 43″, 51″, 63″, and 70″ diameter versions.
And feature a 24 external fiberglass rod system, where each of the rods can be individually snapped into place, and released again when collapsing the reflector.
The detailed all metal speedring design avoids light leakage from the rear of the softbox, and comes supplied with a Bowens S-type speedring insert.
The 144mm diameter speedring inserts being easily exchangeable, with alternative inserts available for most common light brands.
The Grand Parabox Pro feature high quality heat and water resistant outer fabric material, with reflective silver inner surface.
Inner and outer diffusion panels are supplied. With the diffusion fabrics providing UV filtering, while using non-fluorescent dyes to avoid yellowing with age.

Also available is the optional Glow Grand ParaBox Pro Zoom-In Bounce Rod.
The nicely crafted reverse flash mount allows the spread and character of light produced by the Parabox Pro softboxes to be adjusted by changing the position of the light in the modifier.
And once again comes supplied with a Bowens S-type speedring insert mount. With alternative 144mm diameter speedring inserts being easily exchangeable for most common light brands.

This looks 100% like a rebranded SMDV, just more expensive for no reason. Adorama used to partner with SMDV before. They are pretty weak as parabolic reflectors (compared to Broncolor paras).
