The much anticipated new Phottix Mitros flagship TTL flash for Nikon is now available for Pre-Order at Adorama for $299 (with free shipping in the USA).
There is nothing official from Phottix yet, but stocks are likely on their way there now. And as we saw with the Phottix Multi Boom launch (more detail) pre-orders may absorb all the stock before they actually reach the shelves, so its likely best to pre-order now if you’re really after a Mitros for Nikon soon.
The Mitros is really a nice flash, I’ve been using the Canon version for the last couple of weeks, and if you’re after a top end full power TTL and HSS flash with features and build quality close to the Canon and Nikon units (but near half the price) the Mitros is really hard to beat at the moment.
The Canon version also appears to be quite compatible with the inexpensive YN-622C TTL triggers, (we will have to wait and see how the Nikon version goes there).
Of course both Canon and Nikon version Mitros will be fully compatible with the very reliable Phottix Odin TTL and Remote Manual / HSS triggers.
