Phottix Mitros + First Video Overview

James Hays of Enchanted Images has posted the first look at the recently released Phottix Mitros + flash unit, with built in Odin TTL transceivers.

The Mitros + looks like its going to be brilliant for current Odin owners –

James also looks at the Phottix Multi Boom in the video. The following video jumps straight to that –

The flash intreface is a little hard to see in the above videos, though you can see it more clearly in this video of the current Mitros flash by

The Canon version of the Phottix Mitros + should be shipping soon. Please see the original announcement here for more details.

And also a comparison overview with the Canon 600EX-RT here.

Looking at the back of the flash, looks like they could put a few buttons for fast group selection like is done in Strato II. That’s a problem I had with the Odin as well. Pixel King Pro added the buttons but current firmware still forces you to press additional buttons before adjusting individual groups’ power levels.

Is the Phottix Mitros+ for sale yet? I cannot find it anywhere on eBay or Amazon.

      Hi Mike,

They did appear to be available at Adorama, though its showing they are on the way now.

It might take a little time for Amazon to list them, Adorama will probably be first to list their as well. Phottix try to keep their gear away from Ebay.

      Hi MRomine,

Sorry no news there as yet, hopefully before the end of the year.

I spoke with Adorama. Apparently these flashes are still it even for sale. Not sure how that guy in the video got one, but they are not for sale. They were apparently going to be for sale by end of October, but that did not prove to be true.

Anybody know when these might be available?
