PHOTTIX ODIN TCU – Now Available Separately

The Phottix Odin Transmitter Control Unit for Canon and Nikon is now available to purchase separately in the Phottix Store.

And Phottix have a 10% off all products Xmas special until the 26th of December (type – xmas13 at checkout) bringing the price of the Odin TCU to just $148.50 !

A number of people had been asking about about how to purchase the Odin TCU separately to use with their Mitros+ flash units (which have the Odin transmitter and receiver already built in). But previously you had to purchase an Odin TX and RX set from around $330, just to get the transmitter unit.

I just spotted the Odin TCU available separately though in the Phottix Store, and for a very reasonable $165. With the Xmas discount that brings it down to just $148.50. At that price its worth having a second one just for a second camera etc.

B&H Photo and Adorama also stock the Odin, but do not appear to have the TCU available separately as yet. They stock the Mitros+ for $399 though (also $405 in the Phottix store with Xmas discount) so you could effectively have a very convenient Mitros+ flash and Odin transmitter set for around $550.

B&H now list the Odin TCU as a separate unit for $199 and they also have a combined TCU/Mitros+ combo for $550, not a bad deal. Finally!

      Thanks for that Todd.

Strangely Phottix actually currently have these available even cheaper in their own store.

$165 for the Odin transmitter and $499 for the Mitros+ and Odin transmitter.

        Thanks FH,

Thanks, but shipping from Phottix store to U.S. can be a bit steep. I will check out their shipping costs again…..

OK, just checked Phottix site for shipping, $16.50, not to bad except the 7-14 day shipping time-frame. But…. I will see if B&H will match the price, its worth the phone call!! Thanks Again.
